Why I love Portrait Photography

Heyyyyyooooo! Welcome back! Lately I have been back at college trying to get back into a groove of things, but I am so excited to grow my photography in Oklahoma. The style of photography I pursued naturally is Portrait photography. Yes, I do love portrait photography but what about it makes it so interesting to me? It's the idea of being able to put a smile on peoples faces. If I did something such as landscape photography, yes people could look at the photos I take and enjoy them, but I love being able to interact with people and make them laugh during shoots. What makes portrait photography so special is that most of the time it's marking a milestone in someone's life. People get photos taken for high school graduation, engagements, college graduation, weddings, babies, and yearly family photos. Being able to capture those moments and hearing the stories behind them is so amazing. Even if their smile is crooked or their teeth are messed up, it's how they show their joy from their past experiences.
